Excellent City Stay
central location excellent service restful terrace
The location is very central. Breakfast had excellent service with tasty Eggs Florentine prepared perfectly on fresh bread. A restful terrace area is available adjacent to the pool. Bruna.
Sound proofing near the room door was poor! I could hear corridor noise and neighboring rooms. There was a visible gap in the door frame.

beautiful design good treat invaluable assistance great service
My room was beautifully designed. Attention was evident in every detail. I particularly loved the turn down service. Chocolates were a good treat each evening. The hotel staff made dinner and fado reservations for me. Their assistance was invaluable. The service was AMAZING!!!
The soundproofing on the room door was not great. I could hear noises from the corridor. This is a minor issue.

The staff was helpful and friendly. They promptly assisted with valet parking upon arrival. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. I was offered refreshing drinks and snacks immediately. The team provided great recommendations for local attractions.

Breakfast included fresh squeezed juices, smoothies, and a delicious selection of meats. Made-to-order eggs were available. The breakfast service was amazing. The restaurant terrace provided a lovely atmosphere. It was good to sit and enjoy the weather.

The room featured tasteful decorations and was clean. A different bookmark was provided each day. There were also many books available to read in the hallways and in the room.

adequate but some issues
poor soundproofing unclear signage
the breakfast was good with a variety of options (i especially liked the fresh fruit).
The soundproofing was not good. I could clearly hear noise from the corridor and adjacent rooms. there was a noticeable gap under the door, which let in a lot of sound. this really impacted my sleep. also, the pool area lacked clear signage about whether the pool was heated.

friendly staff large selection poor soundproofing door frame
The staff was friendly. The breakfast had a large selection of produce of good quality. It included pastries, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruit and also a hot selection. This MADE it a cheerful start to the day!
The sound proofing TO the room door was poor. I could hear everything going on in the corridor. There IS a gap between the door frame. I know the building is old and this is part of its charm, but this could be addressed.

attentive staff excellent breakfast fresh pastries
The staff was very attentive. They always checked if they could assist with anything. Breakfast was excellent (especially the fresh pastries). I also dined at Blind, the breakfast and dinner were perfect.
The soundproofing to the room door was lacking. I could hear corridor noise. A gap exists between the door frame and the door. It is a minor issue.

The staff greeted me warmly, and I was offered port and homemade cookies on arrival. It was a lovely welcome.
The room's soundproofing was not good. I could hear everything in the corridor. A gap existed under the door frame, causing this issue.

poor sound insulation corridor noise
the hotel's location was acceptable for exploring the area on foot it was quite central
the sound insulation was a problem i could easily hear noise from the corridor and adjacent rooms the gap around the doorframe didn't help matters i realize it is an older building but addressing this would significantly improve the experience
